Low Quality Web Pages in Puerto Rico?
Many Puertorrican businesses owners are getting an over abundance of low quality web page design, development and the tools they are given are not competitive with the American market. Yet, they hold the dream to reach out International business but what's screwing them is the people they hire to promote their business! I was watching TV the other day and saw this commercial about a nice Resort in Puerto Rico. I will not mention the name! The commercial on TV looked as if someone had given the camera to a 8 year old kid and then proceeded on editing and put it on TV to advertise the Resort. I was amazed with how they dare to do such thing, specially when they depend on tourism for survival in their business world. Then I proceeded on checking out their web-page and much worst! It was horrible, off-centered, information spread all over the place, there wasn't a format for the web-page. I wanted to see how had done the job so I called the hotel. They sent me to their public relations company, the people who are supposed to be taking care of this hotel's branding and looks and to my surprise, the public relations company website was as worst or event lower in quality web design. I'm so disappointed and very sad to see that even after I had sent a proposal to help with design and video, NO reply! As I called a few days later to ensure they had received my online proposal for helping them out with areas they "for sure" need assistance, the business owner for the public relations company was so busy she did not make an extra effort to want to talk to me and much worst, they will continue to screw good potential business in Puerto Rico by doing crapy low quality TV commercial videos, web-page design with no functions and eventually these Resorts will only survive on Internal-Tours from their locals. These are the scenarios I see week after week and sad to say... we will still have "Low Quality Web Pages in Puerto Rico".
